It's very late the night before Irene, our 14 year old, leaves to spend the next three weeks with her grandparents in Texas, and my mind is two thousand miles away in Guatemala. I, myself, am leaving for an amazing adventure very soon and am consumed with the preparations involved. I'm temporarily moving to Antigua, Guatemala to care for our darling Isabella until the Powers-That-Be finalize our adoption and I can bring her home. I have no idea how long I'll be gone. I have my faith in God and am preparing for a long stay, praying for a short one.
God, please bless Irene and be with her tomorrow as she travels. Keep her in the safety of Your wings and shelter her from harm. Thank you for the tremendous gift she is! Guide her path.
