On the run

We've been on the go since the beginning of September and I'm wearing out! Our youth group went to Virginia Beach this last weekend for a conference and I went along as a chaperone. Irene and I had a blast! Amazingly, Irene even thanked me for coming! I'm glad I didn't embarrass her too much! There's a fine line between being a cool mom and a mom that's trying to be cool.... Anyway, there wasn't much sleep on this trip between late night fun-fests and early morning sunrise services on the beach. I have just a couple days to recover because I leave tomorrow for Charlotte, NC. I'm going down to visit with my friends Brian and Cheryl, just in time for the first birthday of their youngest child, Nicolas. So much fun!

After this trip, though, I'm resting (until my trip next month to Texas for my friend Melissa's wedding)!

Bella fun facts:

She has finally graduated from the 5th percentile and is now in the tenth percentile for the first time in her entire life!!! Yay! Mommy was amazed considering how little Bella actually eats.

She still refers to herself in the third person- always!

"Shrek" is her favorite movie, followed closely by "Finding Nemo". I've found a costume for Halloween that should be pretty cute! I have to order it online, though, so hopefully I'll get it in time for the big day. Wow. I should do that today... I digress.

She dresses and undresses herself each morning and night.

She is not potty trained yet. She showed a lot of interest last winter/spring, and she went quite a few times, but then, all of a sudden, she started to get very scared and frightened of the potty. We had to completely stop for several months. She's just starting to show interest again, but on her own terms. Our pediatrician thinks she's on track and advised us not to push her into it. So, we're rolling with the diapers still.

Talking, talking, talking and more talking. Melissa noticed that Bella was vocal while we were in Guatemala. She was pretty vocal. But her vocab and verbal abilities have really accelerated this month. Mel, you'll be amazed!

That's us for now. I'll bring back pics from NC :)

Ooooh, and after waiting for a more than a week, we got this yesterday:
