My little girl turned two last week and there are still moments when I look at her and wonder where my baby went. She's not a baby any more! She's VERY active, busy, and into everything- much to the frustration of her mom. But she's incredibly smart and makes me laugh all the time. She's learning something new every single day. We were in Tennessee on her birthday, so we didn't have a big party or anything. She opened a few gifts and had some chocolate cake and she was a happy girl!
Blowing out her #2 candle on her cake (with lovely bow from her gifts in her hair)
This baby loves cake, especially chocolate
A new Elmo book is a big hit
After a clothing change, we headed to the park
I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed Mother's day this year! I had both of my girls in the same country! Plus, our church did the annual new baby introductions that day, so we got to present Bella to the congregation. I was reminded of all the Mother's Day's of the past and the feelings of emptiness that came with them. Years went by when I longed for a child so strongly that I could almost feel one in my arms. My heart was full on Sunday and my arms were wrapped around each of my girls. God is truly faithful!

can you even believe she is TWO?!
love the pics.
Awwww what a sweetie!! Happy Birthday Bella.
I got tears when I read about the Mother's days you sat with empty arms... I know EXACTLY what you mean. My baby girl was all I wanted or needed for mother's day, it was very special.

Bella, you sweet girl! I can so easily picture that teeny, tiny girl in her purple sleeper with the ruffles on the bum...cruising around the living room in Casa Bella...flirting with my husband...entertaining my little boy. We love you!
