Her first painting!

Inspired by this blog , we decided to tackle our own version of the project this afternoon. Not surprisingly, Bella loved it for five minutes and then was DONE! Irene and I helped fill in the background a little after she'd had enough (we left it pretty rustic though so we can still see her original brush strokes). The hand-stamping was fun for her, though, and she was proud of the finished product.





The pics of the finished product are a little blurry, so maybe I'll try again tomorrow to get a clearer shot. Still cute, though!





It was fun doing this project with her today! I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't really spent much time actually sitting down and teaching Bella. I'm thinking that this fall, when we begin Irene's school work, we'll plan to have a little bit of Mommy and Me school time for Bella too. I'm not sure exactly how this will work out, but I'm pretty excited about it. My friend Ashleigh sent me to this site which has an entire curriculum for 2-4 year olds. I think it's fantastic and I'm excited to get started!

Anyone else homeschooling a teenager and a toddler???
