No like it

"No like it."

I've heard this little sentence more times than I can count in the last two weeks. She balls up her fists, turns her head to the side, and shouts "NO LIKE IT! Noooooooooooo!". It's like a little light went off in Bella's head as she suddenly realized that if she said she didn't like something, she may not have to eat it. It's a fine line, friends. I know all the experts say not to get into battles with your children over food, and in general, I don't force the issue. However, in the last two weeks I've heard "No like it" over ever single food put in front of her, except for crackers. This includes milk (her favorite thing in the world) and other favorites like strawberries, blackberries, apples, peas, potatoes, corn, zucchini, okra, chicken, steak, cheese, yogurt, oatmeal, cheerios, cucumbers, green peppers, ranch dressing, eggs, bread, and juice. Even water. Oh, I'm sure the list is longer than that actually. However, when encouraged (ok, sometimes coerced or bribed) she'll eat all of the above. Happily. Eagerly.

That is so funny, Gabi had been co-sleeping with me for a couple of months and about a month ago we decided it was time to send her back to her crib, for about 3 nights she chanted NO LIKE IT for about 45 mins and everytime I hear it it takes me right back!

Oh got to love it. CiCi just started saying No. And she says it ALL the time. It is actually areally cute NO which is not a good thing. I am hoping this phase passes quickly.

Yeah, E is on a "no" kick as well. And like Cici, it's really cute. But it's to everything, "Hey, let's go change your diaper" "No!" "Hey, E, let's go eat lunch." "No!" "Then what do you want to do?" "Food!" Hmmm.
