Calle De Los Pasos

The house we live in is on a quiet street on south-eastern end of town called Calle De Los Pasos (street of the steps). The name for the street comes from the Stations of the Cross . There are several little yellow buildings along our street, each representing a station of the cross. The doors are always closed, so I'd never had the opportunity to see what they look like on the inside. Until today. We went for a walk down our street, away from the center of town. Calle de los Pasos ends at El Cavario Church, and it's a beautiful walk along the way. Each of these golden yellow station buildings is beautifully aged and vine-covered. Once we arrived at El Cavario (Calvary) we came across one of the station bulidings that had its doors open. What a treat to see the beautiful painting inside! How I wish I could see them all!

Oh, wow! That is really neat. I wish you could see inside them all and share them with your faithful readers!

I don't remember ever seeing that church. Of course, there are a LOT of yellow buildings in Antigua, and at some point they all begin to run together.

I am wearing my pink pajamas in your honor this morning ;)

Hey Sharon:
I am glad that you got to see one of those open and you are still exploring.
Do you remember when we walked all the way down to the church from San Francisco Church? Y'all were so tired (hot day, long day) we had to stop at that hotel to hail a cab.
Y'all look like you are having fun.
