It's a very rainy day here in Antigua, and we're trying to make the best of it. First, we went to church and worshipped the Lord.
Then we went to lunch at Cafe Sky.

Irene, on a dare from me, ate the entire side of spicy veggies and jalepenos that came with my quesadillas and then drank the liquid left in the cup!
After lunch, Bella took a nap. When she woke up, it was still raining, and Mommy was busy (more on that below). Not to let anything get her down, she went to find some weather appropriate fun.

Meanwhile, I decided to color my hair. I did an all-over color, darker for fall (since I really am going to the United States where there is such a thing as autumn!). I'm going to the salon in the next week or so and I'll add some highlights or lowlights for depth, along with a much needed cut!
Then, we caught a procession right outside our door! Unfortunately, we didn't get the camera in time to see it from the front, but we got a couple from the back. What a yucky day to be walking the streets in a procession!

Irene's video cracked me up!! That's awesome! Man, I didn't realize how much I missed Sky cafe til just now!
Love the hair!!!! You look great! Do you love it? Tell Bely I said hi!
I showed Russ the pics from this entry and he said Bella looks like a little girl! She's growing up (not so much in height, but you get it! )
Miss you guys!
I second Katie's assessment of the hair. That is a very nice color for your skin. I am impressed that you found it in Antigua, no less! I would have thought your choices would have been black & blacket.
Tell Bella to quit getting so big! It reminds me how fast JM is growing, too :(
um, that was supposed to be "black & blackeR" i don't know what a blacket is. maybe something you cover yourself with?
sharon,
so good to see you out of the house! i think the hair color looks great, too! thinking of you lots lately... is it possible i will be in guate before you leave??? wow... time will tell...
hugs,
angie
looks like such a fun rainy day -- and yes, it made me miss sky cafe too :)
I want to go to lunch at Sky Cafe too! Funny how after 3 trips to Antigua the "Mexican" food here in the states is just not the same - some of it is good, but even the supposed authentic restaurants don't match up
Did not surprise me at all that Irene could drink that - she is just like her dad
The procession really brought back memories though - I know you see them all the time but one of the best memories I have is of Good Friday morning and all the carpets and processions that went on all day
Raining here too so you must be getting in the mood for your soon to be weather shock!

I loved to see Bella worshipping in Guatemala :-) Elyssa heard the music & started dancing, too. It must thrill God's heart to see His babies worship Him!
Hugs,
Beth
Love the new 'do!
You make the best of every situation, such fun. We are coming for a two week vacation on Nov 3rd, I hope you are long gone, but if not would love to see you guys.

I, too, love the hair color! You'll have to post a picture of the new cut/trim. Fond memories of our trip to the Kinky Afro are coming to mind... Tell Bella hello! We miss you!
