We're here. Everything is still in boxes and it is completely overwhelming! Trying to do breakfast and lunch without dishes, pots and pans, a microwave, or any silverware whatsoever was definitely a challenge. We ended up with peanut butter and jelly, applied to the bread with a finger! But things are slowly getting unpacked and I found the silverware an hour ago so we're headed in the right direction! We sat down to dinner as a family last night for the first time in our new rental house and we were all on the verge of tears with gratitude. It was fun showing Bella her crib- she wanted in right away to test out the mattress (by jumping of course!). At bedtime, she wasn't so sure about it anymore and it took me two hours to get her to bed! I'm sure it will be a while before we're back into routine, but that's ok. I'm just thrilled to be here with her. Pics coming soon...
P.S. It was a great surprise to come home to several gifts for Bella, and I'm so grateful for each of them. Individual thank you's coming are coming as soon as life gets settled around here, but right now I want to shout out a ginormous THANK YOU for all the thoughtful and beautiful gifts!

We are glad that you made it home safely. Is Bella adjusting to the carseat thing yet? That must have been a difficult ride. Saturday night was tough with her coming home from SC BBQ. I really hope the ride back was more pleasant.
Congrats on eating together in your new home. Have fun the next couple of weeks trying to find everything. We hope to see y'all soon, very soon.
Enjoy VA and say hi to the Blue Ridge for me, I miss VA.

Wahoo! So glad you're home! It is quite amazing to see all the STUFF when shopping here--I still sometimes am blown away by the consumerism!!
We love you!
