We were home just three days last week and then we piled back into the car for the three hour drive to where my sister and brother-in-law live in time for Thanksgiving. What an emotional experience it was to be able to sit at the Thanksgiving table with our family and give thanks to our Lord who has so richly blessed us. We each shared what we were thankful for, and I couldn't help but cry with everything I am SO THANKFUL for. I'm thankful for my husband and children, for the United States of America and the privileges that living in it brings, for cars, for a home, for carpeting, and for all of the food we eat every day. I went without many of these things for a very long time and certainly saw many people in Guatemala who had never had them. The Lord has abundantly provided for everything we need, faithfully. Praise be to Him!
The beautiful drive home to Virginia!
More autumn splendor!
What I saw when I walked in the door for the very first time to our new temporary home-
Probably the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life- my baby, asleep in her crib for the very first time.
Such a pretty girl on her new back deck!

Thank you so much for your visit. That video in your car is so cute! I recognized that stretch of highway immediately. "They just left our house!" We are thankful that you are our friends and you are now at home in the great Commonwealth. We love the dress and the new crib.
We hope to see you soon.
